Yiggi is the pilot of the airship Yggdrasil. Another way of putting it is to say that he ‘is’ the airship Yggdrasil. The 3 foot draconic homunculus shares its consciousness with the hull of the ship. This frees the Yggdrasil from the need of a full crew allowing its occupants to take on other tasks however, if the ship is damaged and crashes, Yiggi feels pain just as if his own tiny wings were clipped. When the Yggdrasil’s decks are swabbed and components cared for, it has the same effect as a comforting pet or a scratch behind the ears on Yiggi.
If Yiggi is ever removed farther than 200 feet from the ship he loses consciousness and subsequently so dose the Yggdrasil, causing it to lose all power and shut down. Its similar to the effect of removing someones brain from their head, however as long as to much time has not passed, this can be remedied simply by reuniting the two constructs.
When Yiggi was constructed the intent was to simply awaken the intelligence of the ship allowing it to pilot itself among other features. An unintended created feature however was Yiggi’s personality. He is almost annoyingly cheerful and recklessly attracted to danger. Yiggi dose appear to have a since of empathy but has no known fears or worries. Even the topic of his own destruction is a joyful one. Luckily Yiggi is unquestionably loyal (thanks to arcane reenforcement) so it will do whatever it can to prevent any harm coming to its crew.
